Product & Systems Designer
Over the past five years, I have worked both independently and as part of teams to bring more than ten digital products to launch. Alongside product design and development, I also run Women’s Image Archive ↗, an independent platform for research on Asian women photographers and visual culture.
Many projects begin with little more than a loose idea or a problem that has not yet been clearly defined. My role is to make sense of the content, relationships, and user journeys involved, determine what form the project should take, and turn it into a product or system that is clear, usable, and able to evolve over time.
Depending on the project, I can contribute across research, product definition, information architecture, UI/UX, visual design, and front-end implementation. I choose tools according to what the project needs, but tools are never the starting point. What matters more is understanding the problem and finding the right way to bring the idea to life.
You may already have an idea, a body of content, or a problem you are trying to solve, but still be unsure what kind of product it should become. I can work with you to clarify the problem, structure the content, and define the product, then support the process from interface design through front-end implementation. For products that are already live or in development, I also provide UI/UX reviews, redesigns, and ongoing design support.
